Bismillah hir rahman nir raheem

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

 

Yusuf Ali:
In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious and The Most Merciful

Abul Ala Maududi:
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Muhsin Khan:
In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious and The Most Merciful

Pickthall:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

Dr. Ghali:
In The Name of Allah, The All-Merciful, The Ever-Merciful

Abdul Haleem:
In the name of God, the Lord of Mercy, the Giver of Mercy!

Muhammad Junagarhi:
شروع کرتا ہوں اللہ تعالیٰ کے نام سے جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم واﻻ ہے

Suhel Farooq Khan:
अल्लाह के नाम से जो रहमान रहीम है।

Abdullah Muhammad Basmeih:
Dengan nama Allah, Yang Maha Pemurah, lagi Maha Mengasihani.

إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتۡ

1.     Izas samaaa’un fatarat
When the sky breaks apart

 

Yusuf Ali:
When the Sky is cleft asunder;

Abul Ala Maududi:
When the heaven is split asunder,

Muhsin Khan:
When the heaven is cleft asunder.

Pickthall:
When the heaven is cleft asunder,

Dr. Ghali:
When the heaven will be rent asunder,

Abdul Haleem:
When the sky is torn apart,

Muhammad Junagarhi:
جب آسمان پھٹ جائے گا

Suhel Farooq Khan:
जब आसमान तर्ख़ जाएगा

Abdullah Muhammad Basmeih:
Apabila langit terbelah;

وَإِذَا ٱلۡكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتۡ

2.     Wa izal kawaakibun tasarat
And when the stars fall, scattering,

 

Yusuf Ali:
When the Stars are scattered;

Abul Ala Maududi:
when the stars are scattered,

Muhsin Khan:
And when the stars have fallen and scattered;

Pickthall:
When the planets are dispersed,

Dr. Ghali:
And when the planets will be strewn,

Abdul Haleem:
when the stars are scattered,

اور جب ستارے جھڑ جائیں گے

Suhel Farooq Khan:
और जब तारे झड़ पड़ेंगे

Abdullah Muhammad Basmeih:
Dan apabila bintang-bintang gugur bertaburan;

وَإِذَا ٱلۡبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتۡ

3.     Wa izal bihaaru fujjirat
And when the seas are erupted

 

Yusuf Ali:
When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth;

Abul Ala Maududi:
when the seas are made to burst forth,

Muhsin Khan:
And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up);

Pickthall:
When the seas are poured forth,

Dr. Ghali:
And when the seas will be made to gush forth,

Abdul Haleem:
when the seas burst forth,

Muhammad Junagarhi:
اور جب سمندر بہہ نکلیں گے

Suhel Farooq Khan:
और जब दरिया बह (कर एक दूसरे से मिल) जाएँगे

Abdullah Muhammad Basmeih:
Dan apabila lautan pecah bercampur-baur;

وَإِذَا ٱلۡقُبُورُ بُعۡثِرَتۡ

4.     Wa izal qubooru bu’sirat
And when the [contents of] graves are scattered,

 

Yusuf Ali:
And when the Graves are turned upside down;-

Abul Ala Maududi:
and when graves are laid open,

Muhsin Khan:
And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents)

Pickthall:
And the sepulchres are overturned,

Dr. Ghali:
And when the tombs will be scattered away300

Abdul Haleem:
when graves turn inside out:

Muhammad Junagarhi:
اور جب قبریں (شق کر کے) اکھاڑ دی جائیں گی

Suhel Farooq Khan:
और जब कब्रें उखाड़ दी जाएँगी

Abdullah Muhammad Basmeih:
Dan apabila kubur-kubur dibongkarkan, –

عَلِمَتۡ نَفۡسٞ مَّا قَدَّمَتۡ وَأَخَّرَتۡ

5.     Alimat nafsum maa qaddamat wa akhkharat
A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back.

 

Yusuf Ali:
(Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back.

Abul Ala Maududi:
everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later.

Muhsin Khan:
(Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds).

Pickthall:
A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind.

Dr. Ghali:
A self will know whatever it has forwarded and deferred.

Abdul Haleem:
each soul will know what it has done and what it has left undone.

Muhammad Junagarhi:
(
اس وقت) ہر شخص اپنے آگے بھیجے ہوئے اور پیچھے چھوڑے ہوئے (یعنی اگلے پچھلے اعمال) کو معلوم کر لے گا

Suhel Farooq Khan:
तब हर शख़्श को मालूम हो जाएगा कि उसने आगे क्या भेजा था और पीछे क्या छोड़ा था

Abdullah Muhammad Basmeih:
(Setelah semuanya itu berlaku), tiap-tiap orang akan mengetahui apa yang telah dikerjakan dan ditinggalkannya.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلۡكَرِيمِ

6.     Yaaa ayyuhal insaaanu maa gharraka bi Rabbikal kareem
O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous,

 

Yusuf Ali:
O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?-

Abul Ala Maududi:
O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord

Muhsin Khan:
O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous?

Pickthall:
O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful,

Dr. Ghali:
O you man! What has deluded you concerning your Ever-Honorable Lord,

Abdul Haleem:
Mankind, what has lured you away from God,

Muhammad Junagarhi:
اے انسان! تجھے اپنے رب کریم سے کس چیز نے بہکایا

Suhel Farooq Khan:
इन्सान तुम्हें अपने परवरदिगार के बारे में किस चीज़ ने धोका दिया

Abdullah Muhammad Basmeih:
Wahai manusia! Apakah yang memperdayakanmu – (berlaku derhaka) kepada Tuhanmu yang Maha Pemurah? –

ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ

7.     Allazee khalaqaka fasaw waaka fa’adalak
Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you?

 

Yusuf Ali:
Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias;

Abul Ala Maududi:
Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned,

Muhsin Khan:
Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion;

Pickthall:
Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee?

Dr. Ghali:
Who created you, then molded you, then proportioned you?

Abdul Haleem:
your generous Lord, who created you, shaped you, proportioned you,

Muhammad Junagarhi:
جس (رب نے) تجھے پیدا کیا، پھر ٹھیک ٹھاک کیا، پھر (درست اور) برابر بنایا

Suhel Farooq Khan:
जिसने तुझे पैदा किया तो तुझे दुरूस्त बनाया और मुनासिब आज़ा दिए

Abdullah Muhammad Basmeih:
Tuhan yang telah mencipta dan mengatur kejadianmu, lalu menjadikan anggotamu sesuai (dengan tujuan yang kerananya anggota itu diadakan), serta menjadikan (binaan tubuh badanmu) sama padan dengan kekuatannya;

فِيٓ أَيِّ صُورَةٖ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ

8.     Feee ayye sooratim maa shaaa’a rakkabak
In whatever form He willed has He assembled you.

 

Yusuf Ali:
In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together.

Abul Ala Maududi:
and set you in whatever form He pleased?

Muhsin Khan:
In whatever form He willed, He put you together.

Pickthall:
Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee.

Dr. Ghali:
In whichever fashion He (so) decides, He compounds you.

Abdul Haleem:
in whatever form He chose?

Muhammad Junagarhi:
جس صورت میں چاہا تجھے جوڑ دیا

Suhel Farooq Khan:
और जिस सूरत में उसने चाहा तेरे जोड़ बन्द मिलाए

Abdullah Muhammad Basmeih:
Dalam bentuk dan rupa apa sahaja yang dikehendakiNya, Ia menyusun kejadianmu.

كَلَّا بَلۡ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ

9.     Kalla bal tukazziboona bid deen
No! But you deny the Recompense.

 

Yusuf Ali:
Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment!

Abul Ala Maududi:
No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie;

Muhsin Khan:
Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds).

Pickthall:
Nay, but ye deny the Judgment.

Dr. Ghali:
Not at all! No indeed, (but) you cry lies to the Doom.

Abdul Haleem:
Yet you still take the Judgement to be a lie!

Muhammad Junagarhi:
ہرگز نہیں بلکہ تم تو جزا وسزا کے دن کو جھٹلاتے ہو

Suhel Farooq Khan:
हाँ बात ये है कि तुम लोग जज़ा (के दिन) को झुठलाते हो

Abdullah Muhammad Basmeih:
Sebenarnya tidak ada yang memperdayakan kamu (hai golongan yang ingkar)! Bahkan kamu sendiri tidak percayakan adanya hari pembalasan.

وَإِنَّ عَلَيۡكُمۡ لَحَٰفِظِينَ

10.  Wa inna ‘alaikum lahaa fizeen
And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers,

 

Yusuf Ali:
But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,-

Abul Ala Maududi:
you do so the while there are watchers over you;

Muhsin Khan:
But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you.

Pickthall:
Lo! there are above you guardians,

Dr. Ghali:
And surely there are indeed over you Preservers,

Abdul Haleem:
Over you stand

Muhammad Junagarhi:
یقیناً تم پر نگہبان عزت والے

Suhel Farooq Khan:
हालॉकि तुम पर निगेहबान मुक़र्रर हैं

Abdullah Muhammad Basmeih:
Padahal sesungguhnya, ada malaikat-malaikat yang menjaga dan mengawas segala bawaan kamu,

كِرَامٗا كَٰتِبِينَ

11.  Kiraaman kaatibeen
Noble and recording;

 

Yusuf Ali:
Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds):

Abul Ala Maududi:
noble scribes,

Muhsin Khan:
Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds).

Pickthall:
Generous and recording,

Dr. Ghali:
Honorable Writers,

Abdul Haleem:
watchers, noble recorders

Muhammad Junagarhi:
لکھنے والے مقرر ہیں

Suhel Farooq Khan:
बुर्ज़ुग लोग (फरिश्ते सब बातों को) लिखने वाले (केरामन क़ातेबीन)

Abdullah Muhammad Basmeih:
(Mereka adalah makhluk) yang mulia (di sisi Allah), lagi ditugaskan menulis (amal-amal kamu);

يَعۡلَمُونَ مَا تَفۡعَلُونَ

12.  Ya’lamoona ma taf’aloon
They know whatever you do.

 

Yusuf Ali:
They know (and understand) all that ye do.

Abul Ala Maududi:
who know what you do.

Muhsin Khan:
They know all that you do.

Pickthall:
Who know (all) that ye do.

Dr. Ghali:
(Who) know whatever you perform.

Abdul Haleem:
who know what you do:

Muhammad Junagarhi:
جوکچھ تم کرتے ہو وه جانتے ہیں

Suhel Farooq Khan:
जो कुछ तुम करते हो वह सब जानते हैं

Abdullah Muhammad Basmeih:
Mereka mengetahui apa yang kamu lakukan.

إِنَّ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٖ

13.  Innal abraara lafee na’eem
Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure,

 

Yusuf Ali:
As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss;

Abul Ala Maududi:
Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss,

Muhsin Khan:
Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise);

Pickthall:
Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight.

Dr. Ghali:
Surely the constantly benign will indeed be in Bliss,

Abdul Haleem:
the good will live in bliss,

Muhammad Junagarhi:
یقیناً نیک لوگ (جنت کے عیش وآرام اور) نعمتوں میں ہوں گے

Suhel Farooq Khan:
बेशक नेको कार (बेहिश्त की) नेअमतों में होंगे

Abdullah Muhammad Basmeih:
(Gunanya catitan malaikat-malaikat itu ialah: untuk menyatakan siapa yang berbakti dan siapa yang bersalah) – kerana sesungguhnya: orang-orang yang berbakti (dengan taat dan amal kebajikan), tetap berada dalam Syurga yang penuh nikmat;

وَإِنَّ ٱلۡفُجَّارَ لَفِي جَحِيمٖ

14.  Wa innal fujjaara lafee jaheem
And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire.

 

Yusuf Ali:
And the Wicked – they will be in the Fire,

Abul Ala Maududi:
and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire.

Muhsin Khan:
And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell),

Pickthall:
And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell;

Dr. Ghali:
And surely the constantly impious will indeed be in Hell-Fire,

Abdul Haleem:
and the wicked will burn in the Fire.

Muhammad Junagarhi:
اور یقیناً بدکار لوگ دوزخ میں ہوں گے

Suhel Farooq Khan:
और बदकार लोग यक़ीनन जहन्नुम में जज़ा के दिन

Abdullah Muhammad Basmeih:
Dan sesungguhnya orang-orang yang bersalah, bertempat dalam neraka yang menjulang-julang.

يَصۡلَوۡنَهَا يَوۡمَ ٱلدِّينِ

15.  Yaslawnahaa Yawmad Deen
They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense,

 

Yusuf Ali:
Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment,

Abul Ala Maududi:
They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense

Muhsin Khan:
In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense,

Pickthall:
They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment,

Dr. Ghali:
Roasting therein on the Day of Doom.

Abdul Haleem:
They will enter it on the Day of Judgement

Muhammad Junagarhi:
بدلے والے دن اس میں جائیں گے

Suhel Farooq Khan:
उसी में झोंके जाएँगे

Abdullah Muhammad Basmeih:
Mereka menderita bakaran neraka itu pada hari pembalasan,

وَمَا هُمۡ عَنۡهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ

16.  Wa maa hum ‘anhaa bighaaa ‘ibeen
And never therefrom will they be absent.

 

Yusuf Ali:
And they will not be able to keep away therefrom.

Abul Ala Maududi:
and then shall never come out of it.

Muhsin Khan:
And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell).

Pickthall:
And will not be absent thence.

Dr. Ghali:
And in no way will they be absent from it.

Abdul Haleem:
and they will find no escape.

Muhammad Junagarhi:
وه اس سے کبھی غائب نہ ہونے پائیں گے

Suhel Farooq Khan:
और वह लोग उससे छुप सकेंगे

Abdullah Muhammad Basmeih:
Dan mereka (sentiasa berada dalam azab seksanya), tidak ghaib daripadanya.

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ

17.  Wa maaa adraaka maa Yawmud Deen
And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?

 

Yusuf Ali:
And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is?

Abul Ala Maududi:
What do you know what the Day of Recompense is?

Muhsin Khan:
And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is?

Pickthall:
Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is!

Dr. Ghali:
And what makes you realize what the Day of Doom is?

Abdul Haleem:
What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is?

Muhammad Junagarhi:
تجھے کچھ خبر بھی ہے کہ بدلے کا دن کیا ہے

Suhel Farooq Khan:
और तुम्हें क्या मालूम कि जज़ा का दिन क्या है

Abdullah Muhammad Basmeih:
Dan apa jalannya engkau dapat mengetahui kedahsyatan hari pembalasan itu?

ثُمَّ مَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ

18.  Summa maaa adraaka maa Yawmud Deen
Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?

 

Yusuf Ali:
Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is?

Abul Ala Maududi:
Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is?

Muhsin Khan:
Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is?

Pickthall:
Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is!

Dr. Ghali:
Again, (Literally: Thereafter) what makes you realize what the Day of Doom is?

Abdul Haleem:
Yes! What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is?

Muhammad Junagarhi:
میں پھر (کہتا ہوں کہ) تجھے کیا معلوم کہ جزا (اور سزا) کا دن کیا ہے

Suhel Farooq Khan:
फिर तुम्हें क्या मालूम कि जज़ा का दिन क्या चीज़ है

Abdullah Muhammad Basmeih:
Sekali lagi, apa jalannya engkau dapat mengetahui kedahsyatan hari pembalasan itu?

يَوۡمَ لَا تَمۡلِكُ نَفۡسٞ لِّنَفۡسٖ شَيۡـٔٗاۖ وَٱلۡأَمۡرُ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلَّهِ

19.  Yawma laa tamliku nafsul linafsin shai’anw walamru yawma’izil lillaah
It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah.
